I don’t know why I turn into Mister Funnyman at dinner with friend’s parents, later in the weekend I burst out singing the Rainbow theme song for very little reason, but here I was bested by Tomas Petterson. It was a delightful evening that spawned numerous catchphrases and funny motions; Lizz’s angry dinosaur impression and Gunnel’s looking for her glasses motion shall never be forgotten. Thank you Tomas and Gunnel for your hospitality and generosity.

I was incredible excited and exasperated all at once.

The tall gentleman who spotted the theme park first would be Mr. Matt Sheret, a fine writer whom I got to know better that weekend, and whose site I shall link you to right now.

Polaroids are used in this comic not for any pretentious reasons but because Liz Greenfield was wielding a chunky instant camera throughout the weekend and if you have a dig through Matt’s site you’ll find he’s quite fond of them too. Here’s two of my favourites from Liz of us all eating strawberries in the Kungstragarden (King’s Garden) including one I used for reference in the comic:

I knew I wouldn’t be able to draw Liz’s impressive hair as well as she does, so I thought it would be good if Liz drew herself in this one, and she agreed, which makes this the first collaborative Everyday! Liz Greenfield is a ridiculously talented artist who I have befriended before she gets too famous to talk to me. Liz commented that it might look like I’m buying alcohol for a minor. I assure you she is old enough to drink.

The little fella in the last panel is none other than Michael Rouse-Dean who has just launched The Guest Strip Project, a webcomic experiment set up to raise money for The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Go check it out and bookmark it, you never know who might be drawing the next one…
