Yesterday, Feb 1st, I joined in with the annual Hourly Comic Day challenge for the 4th year in a row of grueling, mind warping comic fun. My comics are here on the official forum, so please head over and have a read.

I tried something different this year and followed the adventures of Little Adam as he spent a thrilling Monday at home. He watched some popular TV shows, ate a Potato Waffle Butty, ran out of Vimto and even inked an Everyday comic. Did I mention it was thrilling?

I haven’t read very many others but the hourly comics of Pranas T. Naujokaitis, John Allison and HCD creator/inventor/mastermind John Campbell are all entertaining reads.

Every February 1st, comic artists all over the world draw a comic for every hour they are awake. It’s great to see different artists’ take on the same events, such as The Superbowl The Puppybowl in the US and the snowfall here in the UK. Anyway here are my efforts. This isn’t technically an Everyday but I thought it would still be of interest. There’ll be a new Everyday on Thursday, I guess.

To kick off the fifth week of updates every weekday here is a double length strip I did back in March. I think it speaks for itself.

And as if that wasn’t enough for you, a month before I drew this I took part in Hourly Comics Day where, yep, you had to draw a comic for every hour you were awake on the 1st February. Here’s one of my favourites from the day:

The rest of the day’s strips can be seen at the Hourly Comic Day forum. This was back when I worked at a comic shop and with the 1st being a Thursday, it was our busiest day of the week when all the new comics come in. It was a struggle and I missed an hour or two but I did my best and it got me thinking about how I decide what to draw strips about.
