He debuted his first and exceedingly accomplished comic book Freak Leap at BICS this year and the MCC table was proud to have him. His youthful enthusiasm for robots who can play the drums helped carry my weary bones through the frazzling experience of being hungover at a comic show on a Sunday morning. God bless you Joe List, God bloody bless you.

Hello you lot. What are you up to this weekend? Nothing much? Then why not visit beautiful Birmingham, England and come and visit me at the British International Comics Show.

I will be behind the bright red Manchester Comix Collective table which I’ve helped organise to showcase some of the finest self published comics from the city’s ever expanding comics scene. Just look at the wonders on offer on this subtle poster I have made. I think you’ll find they’re all brilliant.

BICS will be at Thinktank, Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, B4 7XG both Saturday and Sunday. There’s a ton of talks, panels and screenings going on and big name guests all over the place. More info about exhibitors and ticket deals at the BICS site.

It should be a fun weekend and I hope to see you there.
