The Everyday #159
I like how the gentle, jaunty bluegrass tune I’m singing couldn’t be more different from the sort of horrid trance and house music advertised on the cheap posters on the makeshift wall behind me.
And again, apologies for updating so late in the day.

I love that song too! Makes me sad though, if I think about it too long.

That’s a lovely, lushly rendered scene.

Hey, really enjoy your comic, and your drawing style.
I used to sing to myself at work, in a shop, until one day, a customer came in that sang as he was being helped. Only he kept singing the same line of a song over and over. It was really annoying. I thought, I must be like that. I stopped singing out loud so much.

i really don’t get why it’s weird to sing aloud when you’re on your own. it’s rubbish. i’m gonna do it more.

O’ Brother, How Art Thy comics so awesome?

odd, this comic seems too detailed (the art and background,I mean) to be a last minute update.what song is that,by the way?
June 11th, 2009 at 1:32 pm
The comic was posted last thing on Monday not because I had forgotten about it but because I spent most of the day drawing it. The song is Big Rock Candy Mountain by Harry McClintock as featured on the ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’ soundtrack.
