I still look out for my bike. Stolen outside the Thirsty Scholar from bike stands such as these. Btw, it still works as it's advised not to leave locks as thieves can work out how to undo them quickly when your bike isn't there.. Cadwell wins ;)

Not to be a dick but it seems likely to me that those aren't locks leftover from stolen bikes--they're locks that bike commuters leave there permanently so that they don't have to lug around a lock every day. If you lock your bike to the same stand every day it's sensible to just leave the lock there. Plus it would be nearly impossible to steal a bike and leave the untampered lock without causing serious damage to the bike.

Again, apologies for the obnoxious note. It's a really beautiful drawing. I quite like the ink wash.

I love it! I think that every time I pass the strange skeletal leftovers of the only thing that was locked to the post. Like some tiny bike scavengers have been at the come the night. I am just going to check on my bike!

A print? Possibly. I've been thinking of doing a postcard set of my favourite 6 for a while now but haven't got around to it yet. Maybe soon though.

I was going to write 'Corporation Street, Manchester' on this somewhere but I forgot, which I take as a sign it wasn't essential. These are the bike stands just down from the ones outside M&S, on the other side of the street, near Next.
