We had missed the Reviews on the Saturday because none of the schedules had turned up so no-one knew what was going on when and where. It seems the Fates didn’t want us to meet any editors that weekend. But rest assured we’ll be back there next year with work seventeen times better. We’ll get you next time, Mrs. Bond! Bwahahahaha.

I like that you took a positive spin on this: you got fucked over, but when you present the next time (judging from the time frame this has already happened, but whatever) you’ll have even better stuff to present.
